Do you use wood grown in the UK?

In short, not always.

I source the majority of my wood from a local timber merchant based in Guildford, they stock both local and exotic timber and I will usually visit them in person to select the timber for my projects. I don’t limit myself to UK grown timber, as I feel this will limit the scope of what I can create for my customers. I do however, avoid any wood that has any sustainability issues listed in the CITES Appendices.

If you commission me for a piece of furniture and would like to utilise only UK grown species, then that is not a problem. I can even bring you along when I select the timber for the project.
