The Commissioning Process
Occasionally, you really need something that is specifically designed for your home, and I can help you to find the ideal furniture to suit your needs. I will guide you through the process from start to finish, and help you to understand the choices available to you.
Step 1: The Initial Consultation
This commissioning process usually begins with a meeting, ideally in your home where we can discuss what you’re looking for, where the furniture will be situated and what your existing furniture looks like. We will also discuss preferred styles, materials, timeline and budget - following this meeting I will send a summary of our initial consultation and confirm the next steps.
Step 2: Design
I will share a design based on your requirements - we will then go through your feedback, make changes and come up with new designs through multiple iterations. Once we have found what we’re looking for we will agree a final design and look at some sample wood species and finishes depending on requirements
Step 3: Quotation and Order
The final design will outline the dimensions, materials and finish - this will form the basis of a quotation. A deposit of 50% is required in order for the work to begin, once received materials will be ordered and I will begin building your furniture. I will keep you posted on progress and once the furniture is finished we can discuss the delivery arrangements. The final payment of the remaining 50% is due prior to delivery.
Step 4: Aftercare
Following delivery we will discuss how to look after your furniture, and if after delivery you have any questions, just get in touch.
